Roberto Innocenti (1940)

Roberto Innocenti was born in Bagno a Ripoli, Florence (Italy), in 1940.
Self-taught, Roberto began as a designer at an animation studio, also was salesman in an art gallery and advertising designer. He illustrated Eta Hoffmann, Charles Perrault, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens and Christophe Gallaz texts, among other great authors. His work was published in many countries. Innocenti was awarded with the Golden Apple in Bratislava Biennial of Illustration, the Silver Medal of the Illustrators Society in New York, and Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2008.
